Explaining MRI, preparing for you interview and lumbar stenosis...
Best of the MSK Twitter 13th Nov - 19th Nov
Context
I started doing Tweets of the week on Twitter because
I enjoy (and have the privilege of) learning new stuff every week
There is quite a lot of nonsense (Out-of-date information, gimmicks and fad) out there and I wanted to preserve information that is actually useful to my development
I wanted to raise MSK Standards (Influenced by J. Chew) by sharing quality information with the community that I have hugely benefited from
Substack
I am still figuring out Substack but it is so much better to write and read. From an information storage point of view, it would also be easier for me (and hopefully others) to refer back to the information that I have collected in the past: John Drummond Style. It would also take strong writing skills to express thoughts within just 280 characters.
So sit back and enjoy! Let’s learn together.

I can relate a lot to Ben’s tweet thread. I used to apply/ force my agenda on my patient very early on in the assessment which led to a dip in patient rapport. Being patient until the end to establish a complete picture helps!
I have implemented some of the principles and it worked! Research and practice are key!
Who doesn’t love a thread with graphics? Such a good refresher on Spinal Stenosis!
Other bits
I bought Tom’s Zine and it was such a good read. Buy it here. It was also his idea for the Tweets of the week to be published on Substack.
I am keen to attend Julia’s webinar on DCM, she has previously published a few useful resources on Twitter and LinkedIn.
I published a post on brief summary of CSI injection in MSK conditions.
I am writing a post on differences in opinion and behavioural change. Should be out next week.
Until next time
Justin
